SAFETY WHERE LIFE HAPPENS

OT-led Driving and Home Assessments

Don't Guess. Assess.

Is it still safe to drive?

When health, physical, visual, or cognitive changes affect driving, it can be difficult to know what they really mean behind the wheel.

Limitless Driving Solutions provides comprehensive driving evaluations—including clinical assessment and on-road driving evaluation—to give drivers, families, and healthcare providers objective answers about driving safety.

LIMITLESS DRIVING SOLUTIONS

Comprehensive Driving Evaluations
for Experienced Drivers

Driving is one of the most complex things you do every day.

Safe driving requires your vision, cognition, physical abilities, reaction time, judgment, perception, and decision-making to work together in real time.

A stroke, injury, illness, medication change, neurological condition, cognitive change, or other health concern can affect driving—even when you feel like you're still driving just fine. And there is no way to know without testing.

Whether the answer is to continue driving, train, adapt, restrict, or transition, you deserve clear information and a plan.

The goal is to understand your driving—and what comes next.

Don't guess. Assess.

You Don't Have to Figure It Out Alone

FOR DRIVERS

Get an objective assessment of your current driving abilities and practical recommendations for what comes next.

FOR FAMILIES

Replace worry and disagreement with objective information you can understand and act on.

FOR PROVIDERS

Refer patients for specialized clinical and on-road driving evaluation when medical, physical, visual, or cognitive changes raise concerns about driving safety.

IS THIS WHY YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A DRIVING ASSESSMENT?

01

“Is Mom still safe to drive?”

You may have noticed changes in reaction time, judgment, memory, vision, navigation, or confidence.

03

“My doctor is concerned about my driving.”

You need an objective assessment that looks beyond a standard driver's license test.

02

“Can I still drive after a medical event?”

You may feel ready to drive, but you're not sure whether your physical, visual, or cognitive skills have fully recovered.

04

“I don't want to give up driving unless I have to.”

You want an honest assessment of your current abilities—and practical options before making a major decision about independence.

DON'T GUESS.
ASSESS.

Comprehensive Driving Evaluations for Experienced Drivers

Safe driving requires your vision, cognition, physical abilities, reaction time, judgment, perception, and decision-making to work together in real time.

That's why we look at the whole driver, including an on-road test.

Our comprehensive driving evaluations combine:

  • Clinical assessment of the skills required for driving

  • Behind-the-wheel, on-road evaluation in real-world driving situations

  • Objective observation of driving strengths, limitations, and safety risks

  • Individualized recommendations for continued driving, rehabilitation, adaptive equipment, restrictions, or transition planning

The goal isn't simply to pass or fail.

The goal is to understand your driving—and what comes next.

WHAT MAKES A COMPREHENSIVE DRIVING EVALUATION DIFFERENT?

More Than a Road Test

Driving rehabilitation specialists are trained to evaluate the physical, visual, and mental abilities required for safe driving and to assess performance behind the wheel.

A standard driver's license test is designed to determine whether you meet licensing requirements.

A comprehensive driving evaluation looks more deeply at the abilities that affect real-world driving, including:

1 / VISION

Visual acuity, fields, contrast, perception, and visual processing

2 / cognition

Attention, memory, processing, judgment, executive function, and decision-making

3 / physical function

Strength, coordination, sensation, range of motion, and motor control

4 / orthopedic issues

Reaction time, braking, and the ability to respond appropriately to changing situations

5 / reaction and response

total joint replacements, degenerative joint disease, rheumatoid arthritis, fractures and injuries

6 / Driving performance

Speed regulation, lane position, scanning, intersections, turns, following distance, signaling, navigation, and more

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE EVALUATION?

Clear Answers. Practical Next Steps.

There isn't one answer for every driver.

Depending on the findings, recommendations may include:
